Description
Pear is almost never used in a masculine fragrance, and iris with lavender is a soft, powdery heart where a men's woody would normally have spice. Code 1017 is the gentlest masculine oil in the catalogue, and it fills a real gap for a customer who finds conventional men's fragrance too assertive.
Pear and bergamot open it soft and sweet-edged. Pear reads as expensive rather than fruity, and it sets a quiet tone from the first seconds nothing sharp, nothing cold.
Iris and lavender form the heart. Iris is cool and powdery, lavender clean and aromatic, and neither is a spice which is what makes this so different from the rest of the masculine range. The middle of the fragrance is soft rather than warm.
Cedar, patchouli and vanilla close it. Cedar supplies the dry masculine structure, patchouli earth, and the vanilla a small amount of warmth that keeps the drydown comfortable. Understated throughout and easy to wear all day.
