Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Black tea brings a smoky, malty, slightly leathery depth that green tea never has. Code 1266 uses it as the opening of a woody composition, with fig and iris giving it a soft, sophisticated middle.
Black tea opens it dry, toasted and faintly smoky. Fig and iris form the heart: milky green fruit against a cool, powdery root, an unusual pairing that keeps the tea from feeling heavy.
Sandalwood finishes it creamy and warm. Unisex and quietly distinctive, it suits a niche-style range, an autumn launch or an everyday signature. Supplied ready-mixed and bottled exactly as received.

Questions about this oil
What does black tea smell like in perfume?
Dry, malty and slightly smoky, sometimes leathery. It gives far more depth than green or white tea notes.
How does it compare with 1253 Fresh Green Tea Fig?
Both pair tea with fig. 1266 is darker and woodier, with black tea, iris and sandalwood; 1253 is fresh and light, with oolong and bergamot.
What does iris add?
A cool, powdery, slightly rooty smoothness that softens the tea and links it to the sandalwood.
Is it seasonal?
It is strongest in autumn and winter but light enough for year-round wear.
Which allergens go on my label?
Perfume is a leave-on product, so any allergen above 0.001% in the finished perfume must be named in your ingredient list. The allergen declaration supplied with 1266 gives each one with its percentage. Great Britain still uses the original 24-allergen list; EU products placed on the market from 31 July 2026 follow the expanded list in Regulation (EU) 2023/1545.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
