Description
This is the most complex oil in the catalogue fourteen named materials against the usual six or seven. If you are positioning a brand as artisan or niche and need a product whose depth is obvious on the ingredient list as well as on skin, this is the one.
Cinnamon and bay leaf open it warm and herbal rather than citric, which is unusual and signals immediately that this is not a mass-market composition. The heart carries four materials: osmanthus brings an apricot-leather facet, tobacco the dry sweetness, incense the smoke, and labdanum a resinous, ambery richness that binds them.
The base is equally dense vanilla, cedarwood, vetiver, nagarmotha and musk. Nagarmotha in particular is worth noting: an earthy, smoky root material rarely found outside niche perfumery, and the reason the drydown has a texture most tobacco fragrances lack.
Exceptional longevity. This is a slow fragrance that rewards attention, and it prices accordingly.
