Description
Marshmallow is one of the most popular gourmand notes of recent years soft, powdery-sweet and comforting. The risk with it is heaviness, and code 1249 avoids that by pairing it with orange blossom and neroli.
Neroli opens it bright and slightly green-citrus. Orange blossom and marshmallow form the heart, the honeyed white floral lifting the fluffy sweetness so it smells airy rather than sticky.
Vanilla finishes it warm and creamy, the note that stays longest on skin. Sweet, feminine and approachable, it is a strong product for a gourmand-led brand or a gift range, supplied ready-mixed for bottling.

What does marshmallow smell like in a perfume?
Soft, powdery and sweet like vanilla with a light, airy sugariness. It is an accord rather than a single material.
Isn't it too sweet?
Less than most marshmallow fragrances. Neroli and orange blossom keep the opening and heart fresh, and the sweetness builds gradually towards the vanilla base.
What is the difference between neroli and orange blossom?
Both come from the flowers of the bitter orange tree. Neroli is steam-distilled and smells fresher and greener; orange blossom absolute is richer and more honeyed. Using both gives a brighter floral layer.
Is it long-lasting?
Yes. Vanilla and the marshmallow accord are both persistent and carry the drydown.
Which allergens go on my label?
Perfume is a leave-on product, so any allergen above 0.001% in the finished perfume must be named in your ingredient list. The allergen declaration supplied with 1249 gives each one with its percentage. Great Britain still uses the original 24-allergen list; EU products placed on the market from 31 July 2026 follow the expanded list in Regulation (EU) 2023/1545.
