Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Oud is often marketed to men or as unisex; code 1259 is deliberately feminine. Violet and vanilla soften the wood and rose sits at the centre, so the result is a floral oriental with a dark heart rather than a heavy oud.
Violet opens it powdery, sweet and slightly cosmetic, a soft start for an oud. Rose follows in the heart, the classic oriental partner, rich and full.
Oud and vanilla finish it. The oud gives depth and a resinous darkness; the vanilla keeps it smooth and sweet. Evening-ready and feminine, it suits a women's luxury line and sells strongly in Gulf markets.

Questions about this oil
What makes it feminine?
Violet and vanilla. Violet adds a powdery softness and vanilla a sweet base, so the oud reads as rich rather than smoky or animalic.
How does it compare with 1262 and 1265?
All three combine rose and oud. 1259 has violet and is the softest and most feminine; 1262 is ambery and dry; 1265 has saffron and vanilla and is the classic unisex profile.
Is the oud strong?
Moderate. It sits in the base beneath the violet and rose, and gives depth rather than dominating.
Is it suited to the Gulf market?
Yes. Floral ouds are a core category in the Gulf, where rich orientals sell year-round.
Can I sell it under my own brand?
Yes. Once 1259 is in your bottle with your label, you are placing a cosmetic product on the market. It needs a Responsible Person, a Cosmetic Product Safety Report, a Product Information File and notification (SCPN in Great Britain, CPNP in the EU) before sale. We prepare all of these.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
