Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Oud sells, but buyers increasingly want an oud with a twist. Code 1250 adds two whiskey and honey which turn a classic oriental into something warmer and more indulgent. It arrives ready-mixed, ready to bottle.
Saffron and whiskey open it: leathery, metallic spice against a smoky, oaky boozy note. Rose follows in the heart, the classic partner for oud, softening the opening.
Honey and oud finish it. The honey is thick and slightly animalic, the oud dark and resinous, and together they give a long, opulent drydown. Unisex and rich, it is best suited to evening wear, winter releases and Gulf-market ranges.

Need the finished-product documents too? We are a cosmetic regulatory consultancy as well as a supplier: we prepare the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR), Product Information File and SCPN/CPNP notification for the perfume you make with this oil. No other bulk oil supplier does both.
Questions about this oil
What does the whiskey note add?
A smoky, oaky, slightly sweet boozy warmth. It is an accord built from aroma materials, and it gives the opening depth before the rose arrives.
How does it compare with 1262 and 1265?
All three are saffron, rose and oud orientals. 1250 is the boozy, honeyed one; 1262 finishes on amber; 1265 on vanilla. 1250 is the most distinctive of the three.
Does the honey make it sweet?
Warm rather than sugary. Honey in perfumery has a waxy, slightly animalic depth, and with oud it reads as rich rather than gourmand.
Is it seasonal?
In Europe it sells best from autumn to spring. In Gulf markets rich orientals sell year-round.
Does a ready-mixed perfume need a CPSR?
Yes, once it is sold under your name. The Cosmetic Product Safety Report is required by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and its retained GB version, whoever mixed the perfume. We can prepare it from the IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and SDS supplied with 1250.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
