Description
Eau de cologne is the oldest fragrance structure in European perfumery citrus, neroli and herbs and it has never stopped selling. Code 1022 is our cologne oil, and it fills the one obvious gap in the range: a classic, timeless, entirely unchallenging fresh fragrance.
Neroli leads with bergamot and lemon. Neroli is distilled from bitter orange blossom and is the defining cologne material: green, honeyed and slightly bitter, more complex than any citrus on its own. Using it in the top rather than the heart is what makes this read as a true cologne rather than a citrus fragrance.
Lavender and orange blossom in the heart carry the structure forward. Orange blossom is the sweeter, more floral counterpart to neroli the same botanical source treated differently and layering them gives the composition unusual depth for a fresh scent.
Amber and white woods close it softly. A traditional cologne fades quickly; this base gives it several hours on skin without weighing it down, which is the practical improvement over the classical formula.
