Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Citrus and basil is a Mediterranean pairing lemon groves and herb gardens and it gives a fresh fragrance more personality than citrus alone. Code 1255 is a ready-mixed, bottle-as-supplied version.
Mandarin and mint open it sweet-zesty and cool. Basil is the heart: green, peppery and slightly aniseed, the note that makes it smell herbal rather than juicy.
Orange blossom carries the finish, soft and lightly honeyed. There are no heavy woods or musks, so it wears like a cologne bright and uplifting, and best for summer, sport or daytime ranges.

Questions about this oil
What does basil smell like in perfume?
Green, peppery and slightly sweet-aniseed. It gives citrus fragrances a fresh herb-garden character.
How long does it last?
As a citrus-herbal composition without heavy base notes, it is lighter and shorter-lived than a woody or gourmand. Customers who like cologne-style freshness expect that.
Is it a summer fragrance?
Yes. It is strongest from late spring to early autumn and suits gym, travel and holiday ranges.
Who should stock it?
A brand that wants a citrus with a twist, or a sport and grooming line that needs an uplifting daytime scent.
Does a ready-mixed perfume need a CPSR?
Yes, once it is sold under your name. The Cosmetic Product Safety Report is required by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and its retained GB version, whoever mixed the perfume. We can prepare it from the IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and SDS supplied with 1255.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
