Description

Coconut is the most reliable summer note in fragrance and one of the few that sells as strongly in body care as in perfume. Code 1187 is a creamy coconut rather than a suntan-lotion coconut the difference is the floral heart, and it is what allows you to price it as a fragrance rather than a seasonal novelty.

Coconut leads with bergamot cutting across it, which keeps the opening fresh instead of oily. That citrus lift is the single most important decision in a coconut composition; without it the note reads as sunscreen. Rose and jasmine in the heart add a soft floral structure that gives the fragrance somewhere to go over the first hour.

Vanilla and sandalwood close it creamy, warm and skin-close, the drydown that drives repeat purchase in body care. This oil performs exceptionally well in body butter, body mist and hair mist, so one purchase can support a whole summer range.

Does it smell like suntan lotion?
No that is the usual failure of a coconut accord. The bergamot opening keeps it fresh rather than oily and the rose and jasmine heart give it a floral structure, so it reads as a fragrance rather than a beach product.
