Description
Thyme is a kitchen and apothecary herb, not a perfumery staple, and putting it in front of leather produces something unlike anything else in this catalogue dry, medicinal and slightly austere, in a way that suits an artisan or apothecary-styled brand exactly.
Thyme and lavender open it. Thyme is sharp, green and faintly medicinal more bracing than rosemary and far less common and against lavender it creates a herbal opening with genuine character rather than generic freshness.
Iris and leather form the heart. Iris is the bridge again, its cool powder softening the transition from herb to hide, and the leather here is dry and suede-like rather than smoky.
Cedar, sandalwood and amber close it clean and warm. The whole composition is restrained this is the quietest leather in the range and the one that suits daytime and professional wear best, alongside 1218.
