Description
Lavender is usually softened with vanilla, tonka or citrus sweetness. Code 1180 does the opposite and sharpens it, with juniper and iris in the heart and no sweet material anywhere. It is the driest lavender in the catalogue.
Bergamot and lavender open it clean and aromatic, the familiar entry.
Juniper and iris form the heart, and this is where it diverges. Juniper is piney, resinous and bitter; iris cool and powdery. Neither adds warmth, and together they take the lavender somewhere cold and slightly austere rather than comforting.
Amber and cedar close it. The amber supplies the only warmth in the composition and it is restrained. Six materials, dry throughout, and well matched to a minimalist or outdoor brand identity.
