Description
Code 1241 is a woody perfume with a green, slightly bitter edge, and it arrives ready-mixed: you fill it straight into your own bottles, with no blending, dilution or weighing of concentrate. For a brand launching a range without a lab, that removes the most error prone step.
Marigold opens it. In perfumery, marigold usually means tagetes sharp, green and faintly fruity a far more unusual opening than citrus, and it gives the fragrance an outdoor, herbal feel from the first spray. Violet follows in the heart, softening the green with a powdery, slightly sweet floral tone.
Cedarwood and vetiver carry the base: dry pencil-shaving wood and earthy, rooty vetiver. The result is quiet and grown-up rather than loud a woody unisex that sits comfortably in a core range beside brighter citrus or sweeter gourmand scents.
