Description
Ginger and lavender are both materials that belong, by convention, to men's fragrance. Using them to open a vanilla floral gives 1056 a spiced warmth that a conventional feminine composition would not have, and it is the reason this one is worth stocking alongside the softer florals.
Ginger and lavender open it warm and clean at once the ginger supplying dry heat rather than citrus brightness, the lavender an aromatic sharpness. Neither is sweet, which makes the entry unexpectedly crisp for a vanilla fragrance.
Vanilla and orange blossom form the heart. Vanilla this early means the fragrance becomes warm quickly, and the orange blossom's honeyed bitterness keeps it from being simply sugary.
Sandalwood and amber close it creamy and rich. Six materials in total, and the spiced-aromatic opening against the sweet floral heart is the whole structure.

Questions about this oil
Why ginger and lavender in a women's fragrance?
Both belong to the masculine palette by convention. Using them here gives the composition a spiced warmth a conventional feminine floral would not have.
Is it unisex?
It is classed as feminine but the ginger and lavender opening broadens it. A male customer would find it wearable.
How does it compare with 1136 Orange Vanilla?
1136 uses cinnamon inside a rose-jasmine heart. 1056 uses ginger in the opening and is simpler six materials against eight.
Is it seasonal?
It suits autumn best, though the sandalwood base keeps it wearable year-round in body products.
Will it discolour?
Vanilla and amber will tint a white base over time. Sample before finalising packaging.
