Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Chestnut is a winter note people recognise instantly roasted, nutty, a little sweet and it gives a brand a seasonal product with a story already attached. Code 1242 is supplied ready-mixed, so it goes from drum to bottle without any blending.
Clove opens it warm and slightly medicinal, the spice you would expect at a December market. Chestnut sits in the heart: soft, mealy and nutty rather than sugary.
Guaiac wood brings the smoke. It is a dry, tarry wood with a natural smoky facet, and paired with vanilla in the base it reads like toasted wood and caramelised sugar. Sweet but not juvenile, it suits a unisex autumn release or a gift set better than a summer line.

Compliance documents supplied with this oil
Every bulk order from Phoenix Cosmetic Safety ships with the paperwork you need to put the finished product on the UK or EU market not just the oil.
- IFRA Conformity Certificate the maximum safe dosage for your product category, issued for the batch you buy.
- Allergen declaration every declarable allergen with its percentage, so your label meets Annex III as amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/1545.
- Safety Data Sheet (SDS) 16-section GHS document for your carrier, warehouse and Amazon hazmat review.
- Technical data sheet flashpoint, density, solubility, appearance and recommended dosage.
Need the finished-product documents too? We are a cosmetic regulatory consultancy as well as a supplier: we prepare the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR), Product Information File and SCPN/CPNP notification for the perfume you make with this oil. No other bulk oil supplier does both.
Questions about this oil
What gives it the smoky note?
Guaiac wood. It has a dry, slightly tarry smokiness of its own, so the effect comes without heavy birch tar or leather notes.
Is clove a declarable allergen?
Clove is a natural source of eugenol, one of the declarable fragrance allergens. Check the allergen declaration supplied: if eugenol exceeds 0.001% in the finished perfume, it must be named in your ingredient list.
Is it seasonal?
It sells best from October to February in European markets. As a limited edition it can carry a higher price than a core SKU.
Is it long-lasting?
Yes. Guaiac wood and vanilla are both heavy base materials, and the sweet, smoky drydown is the longest-lasting part.
Can I sell it under my own brand?
Yes. Once 1242 is in your bottle with your label, you are placing a cosmetic product on the market. It needs a Responsible Person, a Cosmetic Product Safety Report, a Product Information File and notification (SCPN in Great Britain, CPNP in the EU) before sale. We prepare all of these.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
