Description
Oud sells. It is the backbone of the Middle Eastern fragrance market and it has moved firmly into Western niche perfumery, which makes a well-built oud accord one of the most commercially useful oils a brand can hold. Code 1002 is our house interpretation: rich, but balanced by vanilla so it stays wearable in cooler European markets too a genuinely unisex fragrance rather than a scent pitched at one side of the aisle.
Saffron opens the composition with that distinctive leathery-spiced lift that signals a serious oriental fragrance from the first seconds. Rose follows immediately the classic pairing, and the reason this accord reads as luxury rather than simply dark. The heart is oud against amber: woody, resinous, with real depth. The base of sandalwood, vanilla and musk is what makes 1002 different from a traditional Arabian oud the vanilla rounds the smoke, and the result projects well without becoming heavy. It's the kind of perfume oil built for a brand's timeless elegance piece, the one that anchors a range rather than a seasonal add-on.
This oil performs particularly well in alcohol-based eau de parfum at higher concentrations, and in oil-based attar-style roll-ons where the drydown is the whole product the attar route also gives you an alcohol-free format for markets and customers who prefer it.

Questions about this oil
Is this real oud (agarwood)?
1002 is a perfumer's oud accord a blend of aroma materials that reproduces the character of agarwood. Pure distilled agarwood oil is a different product at a very different price; an accord gives you a consistent, reproducible profile batch to batch, which is what production needs.
How is 1002 different from your 1154 oud oil?
1002 leads with saffron and rose and finishes on vanilla, making it sweeter and more approachable. 1154 is oud-forward and dry, with a traditional Arabian character. Buy 1002 for a Western audience new to oud, 1154 for Gulf-market positioning.
Is it suitable for both men and women?
Yes, it is built as a unisex composition. The saffron-rose opening reads slightly feminine and the oud-amber heart slightly masculine, which is why it works across both.
What concentration should I use?
20–30% in an alcohol-based eau de parfum, 15–25% in an attar or roll-on, and 1–3% in rinse-off. Check your IFRA certificate for the maximum level in each category.
Does it discolour a finished product?
Oud and vanilla materials are naturally darker, so expect an amber tint. For clear finished products, request a sample first and test at your target dosage.
What documents come with it?
IFRA conformity certificate, allergen declaration with percentages, Safety Data Sheet and technical data sheet.
Can you prepare the CPSR for my finished perfume?
Yes a CPSR for a single fragrance starts at £55, signed by a qualified safety assessor, delivered in 72 hours.
