Description
Vanilla is the highest-volume note in fragrance, and Code 1124 fills a useful gap by taking that familiar sweetness in a more masculine direction. Bergamot and grapefruit form the top notes, opening clean and bitter-bright rather than dessert-like, making it suitable for an eau de parfum positioned alongside modern designer fragrances.
Lavender and black pepper form the middle notes, giving the fragrance its aromatic and spicy character. The lavender adds a classic barbershop feel, while black pepper brings dry heat and bite, keeping the composition balanced rather than overly soft.
Vanilla, benzoin and tonka form the base notes, creating a warm, resinous drydown with an almond-tobacco nuance. The result works well for date nights and special occasions, as well as in beard and grooming products where warm-sweet masculine profiles perform strongly.

Questions about this oil
Is a vanilla fragrance suitable for men?
Yes, when it is built this way. The black pepper and lavender give it bite and the benzoin base makes it resinous rather than creamy, so it reads as warm and spiced rather than sweet.
What is benzoin?
A balsamic resin with a vanilla-like sweetness and a slightly smoky texture. It is what makes this drydown warm and resinous instead of dessert-like.
How does it compare with 1235 Sweet Vanilla?
1235 is a soft, creamy unisex vanilla with rose and musk. 1124 is drier and spicier, built for a male customer. Stock both if vanilla is a strong seller for you.
Is it good for beard products?
Very warm, spiced-sweet profiles are among the best sellers in beard oil and balm. Use 2–5%.
Is it seasonal?
It sells strongest in autumn and winter, though grooming products move it year-round.
