Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Most leather fragrances are built the same way. This one is not. Anise at the top and olive blossom in the heart give this leather perfume oil a more distinctive structure, while guaiac wood in the base adds a smoky sweetness unlike anything else in the range.
Bergamot, lemon and anise form the top notes, opening bright before moving into a cool, liquorice-like character. Olive blossom and star anise create the middle notes, adding green, waxy and slightly bitter facets that give the fragrance a memorable signature.
Tonka bean, guaiac wood and smooth leather form the base notes, with guaiac wood binding the anise to the leather and giving the drydown its unusual texture. If supported by the supplier documentation, the product can also be positioned as vegan.

Questions about this oil
Is anise too unusual for a commercial fragrance?
It is divisive, and that is the trade-off. Choose 1149 when you need a product customers remember and talk about. For a dependable core leather, 1078 or 1028 will sell to more people.
What does guaiac wood smell like?
Smoky, tarry and faintly sweet closer to woodsmoke than to cedar. It is what gives this drydown its distinctive texture.
What is olive blossom?
A green, waxy, slightly bitter floral, rare in commercial perfumery. It contributes to the fragrance's individuality and is a genuine point of difference on an ingredient list.
Who is this oil for?
A brand that already has its core SKUs and needs a signature product a niche line, an artisan positioning, or a limited edition.
Is it strong?
Moderate to strong with good longevity. The anise stays detectable for several hours.
What sizes and lead time?
100 g, 250 g, 500 g, 1000 g and 5000 g, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
