Description
Clean white musk is the quiet best-seller of the fragrance market. It is what people mean by a “skin scent” something that smells like clean laundry and clean skin rather than obvious perfume. Code 1151 has the most universally wearable fragrance profile in the catalogue.
Bergamot alone opens it, deliberately simple. White musk and jasmine form the heart, with jasmine acting only as a soft floral haze that gives the musk a little bloom without turning the composition into a floral fragrance.
Amber and sandalwood in the base add warmth and longevity, helping the musk stay on skin for longer. Commercially, this is a workhorse: it suits fragrance, body care and layering, and its clean, soft character makes it easy to wear across a wide range of products.

Questions about this oil
Why are there two names for this product?
Our catalogue listed it as both "Soft White Musk" and "Mossy White Musk". "Soft" is correct the composition contains no moss. The listing has been corrected.
What is a skin scent?
A fragrance that smells like clean skin rather than like perfume close to the body, soft, with little projection. Clean musks are the classic example and have the highest repeat-purchase rate of any profile.
Is it suitable for baby or sensitive-skin products?
Clean musk is the standard profile for those ranges because it is inoffensive by design. As with any fragrance, the finished product still needs its own safety assessment we can prepare the CPSR.
Can it be layered under other fragrances?
Yes, and it is the best oil in the range for that. It adds softness and longevity without competing with the fragrance on top.
Is it too subtle?
It sits close to the skin by design. If you want more projection, use it at the top of the dosage range or layer it with 1237 Iso E Super, which increases diffusion without changing the character.
