Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Smoke is almost never a top note. It is slow and heavy and normally sits in the base with woods and resins. Putting it first makes Code 1184 the most direct fragrance in the catalogue. The smoke accord and black pepper open together, creating a dry, charred and faintly sweet effect with a sharp edge a powerful smoky tobacco direction from the first seconds.
Tobacco and leather form the heart, and the progression is entirely logical: smoke into cured leaf into hide. Each material reinforces the last rather than contrasting with it. Rather than moving into a typical tobacco, amber, patchouli, guaiac wood or Haitian vetiver structure, the fragrance keeps its dark, focused character.
Vanilla and agarwood (oud) close it. The vanilla softens the drydown just enough to make the fragrance wearable rather than relentless. Very high impact and exceptionally long-lasting, with oud providing the depth instead of a conventional amber base. A cruelty-free claim should only be used where supported by the relevant supplier documentation.

Questions about this oil
What kind of smoke is it?
Woodsmoke dry, charred and faintly sweet, like a bonfire rather than a cigarette. It is the first thing you smell and it sets the whole direction.
How does it compare with 1064 and 1152, your other tobaccos?
1064 is tobacco with coffee, 1152 a complex layered niche composition. 1184 is far more direct smoke first, then tobacco and leather. It is the bluntest of the three.
Should I use a lower dosage?
Yes 15–22% rather than the usual 20–25%. Projection is very strong and it becomes overwhelming at full strength.
Does it work in candles?
Yes, and smoke profiles perform particularly well in autumn and winter home fragrance.
Will it discolour?
Yes smoke, tobacco, leather and oud are all dark materials. Expect a deep colour and use opaque packaging.
