Description
Three materials in the opening, one in the heart and two in the base. Code 1153 is one of the most unusual structures in the catalogue, and the fragrance composition works because it moves almost directly from bright citrus into warm amber. This makes the perfume pyramid simple, clear and easy to understand in a modern unisex eau de parfum.
Cardamom, mandarin and tangerine form the top notes, creating a juicy, warm opening with more fullness than a single citrus. Orange blossom alone creates the middle notes, acting as a soft honeyed bridge between the citrus and the amber without interrupting the flow of the fragrance.
Amber and sandalwood form the base note, giving the drydown a warm, creamy and lightly woody finish. The main accords stay simple and sunny, making this one of the more approachable fragrance oils in the range while still offering better persistence than a typical citrus-led perfume.

Why only one note in the heart?
Orange blossom is from the same botanical family as the citrus above it, so it bridges the top and base seamlessly rather than introducing a new subject. The simplicity is deliberate.
Is it a citrus or an amber fragrance?
It starts as one and ends as the other, with very little in between. That directness is what makes it feel sunny and uncomplicated.
Is it long-lasting for a citrus?
Considerably the amber and sandalwood base gives it several hours, well beyond what a citrus-led composition normally achieves.
What is the difference between mandarin and tangerine?
Tangerine is sweeter and softer, mandarin slightly sharper. Using both gives the opening a fullness a single citrus could not.
