Description
Leather and oud together produce a very rich fragrance, and the usual risk is density nothing to breathe through. Code 1093 solves it with cypress: a green, coniferous dryness in the base that keeps this leather oud profile balanced and wearable.
Bergamot and grapefruit form the top notes, opening bright and bitter with a clean citrus contrast. Rose and oud create the heart in the classical oriental style, with rose adding plushness and oud bringing resinous depth to this refined oud perfume.
Leather, sandalwood and cypress form the base notes, with cypress providing the dry, green character that lifts the heavier materials. The result is a rich yet breathable eau de parfum with a long lasting drydown.

Questions about this oil
Why cypress in a leather oud?
Leather and oud together can be airless. Cypress is green, dry and coniferous, and it opens up the base so the fragrance stays breathable and wearable.
How does it compare with 1028 and 1074?
1028 is smoky and assertive, 1074 dark and confronting with leather in the top notes. 1093 is the most wearable of the three — rich but with the cypress keeping it open.
Is it suitable for daily wear?
More so than the other leather-ouds, though it is still a substantial fragrance. For genuine everyday use, 1218 or 1205 are lighter.
Does the rose make it feminine?
No. Rose in a leather-oud composition reads as plushness rather than floral sweetness, and it is standard in Middle Eastern masculine perfumery.
Will it discolour?
Yes leather, oud and sandalwood are dark materials. Expect a deep amber tint.
