Description
Rich Amber Oud 1223 is a rich, resinous oud fragrance with an unusual structure. Bergamot appears briefly at the top, while most of the weight sits in the heart, making the fragrance note profile feel full and intense very quickly.
Cinnamon, benzoin and oud form the centre of the composition. Benzoin adds a smooth balsamic sweetness that links the spice and oud together, placing the fragrance firmly within a warm oriental olfactory family.
Amber, vanilla and sandalwood create the base note, extending the same rich character into a warm, sweet and very long-lasting drydown.

Why only one top note?
It gives a brief moment of lift and then steps aside. The fragrance is designed to be rich within minutes rather than building slowly.
What does benzoin do here?
It sits between the dry cinnamon and the resinous oud and binds them into a single accord rather than three competing materials.
How does it compare with your other ouds?
There are now eight. 1223 is the sweetest and most resinous — closest to 1181 but richer and spicier. 1033 and 1139 are the dry, austere end of the range.
Does cinnamon restrict the dosage?
Yes, in leave-on products. Work from your IFRA certificate for each category.
Is it good for bakhoor and home fragrance?
Yes rich resinous orientals perform very well burned or diffused.
