Description
Vanilla is warm and sweet; iris is cool and powdery. Putting them in the same heart, in direct contact, is unusual and the result is the softest fragrance in this catalogue, with neither material winning.
Lavender and mandarin open it gently. Lavender is clean and aromatic, mandarin soft and sweet; the entry is quiet rather than bright, which suits what follows.
Vanilla and iris form the heart together. Neither dominates: the vanilla keeps the iris from being austere, the iris keeps the vanilla from being sugary, and the two produce a texture more than a smell soft, dusty and slightly cool, like face powder.
Musk and sandalwood close it skin-close and creamy. The whole composition sits very near the skin with good longevity. It is a comfort fragrance in the truest sense and one of the best oils in the range for body and baby-adjacent products.

Why put vanilla and iris together?
They pull in opposite directions warm sweet against cool powder and neither wins. The result is a texture more than a smell: soft, dusty and slightly cool, like face powder.
How does it compare with 1174 Creamy Vanilla Iris?
1174 adds a milk accord, making it creamier and more gourmand. 1182 is drier and more powdery. 1174 for comfort, 1182 for softness.
Is it suitable for body powder?
Yes it is one of the best oils in the range for talc and body powder alongside 1095 and 1220.
Is it strong?
