Description
Amber almost always sits in the base. Putting it in the heart, as 1111 does means the warmth arrives within minutes rather than after an hour and the fragrance feels enveloping much sooner than its structure would suggest.
Bergamot and blackcurrant open it bright and tart. Blackcurrant's green slightly sulphurous edge gives the opening more character than a plain citrus would.
Jasmine, amber and cashmeran form the heart three materials, all of them warm. The jasmine is rich and indolic, the amber glowing, the cashmeran velvety, and together they make the middle of the fragrance the densest part of it.
White woods, cedar and musk close it, and the base is deliberately light. That inversion heavy heart, light base is unusual and it gives the drydown an airiness that keeps the composition from feeling heavy despite all the warmth.
