Description
Every other oud in this range finishes on sandalwood or vanilla creamy materials that soften the wood. Code 1050 takes a different direction, finishing on leather and patchouli instead. The result is a luxurious & seductive fragrance with a darker, drier character and a distinctive interpretation of rose oud.
Saffron and bergamot form the top notes, creating a leathery-spiced opening with a bright citrus lift. Oud and rose create the heart, combining the resinous depth of agarwood (oud) with the richness of a traditional floral pairing found in classic traditional perfumes.
Leather, patchouli and amber form the base notes, adding earthy depth and the warmth of wood without softening the oud. The result is a long-lasting luxury fragrance with a lasting and evolving scent profile. Highly concentrated and suitable for evenings, apply lightly to pulse points — little goes a long way. Questions about this oil
How does it differ from your other ouds?
It is the only one finishing on leather and patchouli rather than sandalwood or vanilla. That makes it the driest and hardest of the nine choose it when a customer finds the sweeter ouds too comfortable.
Is it wearable?
Yes, but it is austere. It stays dry and dark for hours rather than softening, which is its character rather than a flaw.
Is it suitable for attars?
Very the drydown is the strongest part of the composition, which is exactly what an attar format needs.
Is it unisex?
Yes. Rose and oud is a standard unisex construction in oriental perfumery, and the leather base pushes it slightly masculine without excluding anyone.
Will it discolour?
Yes oud, leather and patchouli are all dark. Expect a deep amber tint and use opaque packaging.
