Leather fragrances usually lean smoky and heavy. Code 1256 takes a smoother route: saffron and osmanthus two materials with natural leathery facets over a soft suede base.
Mandarin and saffron open it. The mandarin is brief and bright; the saffron brings a warm, metallic, faintly leathery spice. Osmanthus forms the heart: a flower that smells of apricot and suede at the same time, and the link that makes the whole composition feel seamless.
Suede finishes it soft and close to the skin. Polished, masculine and evening-ready without being aggressive, it suits a men's luxury line or a premium gift set.

What is osmanthus?
A small flower from China with a scent of apricot, tea and soft leather. It is less common than rose or jasmine, which gives the fragrance a point of difference.
Is it a heavy leather?
No. Suede is the softest of the leather notes, and there is no birch tar or smoke. It is smooth rather than rugged.
How does it compare with 1246 Woody Sandalwood Leather?
Both have a leather base. 1246 is creamy, woody and unisex; 1256 is spiced and fruity-floral, more masculine and more evening.
Is it seasonal?
It is strongest from autumn to spring, and works as an evening fragrance year-round.
