Description
Most gourmand oils are simply sweet, but Code 1015 takes a more refined approach. This fragrance oil combines a caramel-vanilla core with citrus brightness and oud depth, creating an oriental gourmand profile rather than a simple dessert-like scent.
Lemon and bergamot form the opening, adding freshness and preventing the fragrance from becoming overly heavy. The heart introduces a distinctive contrast with caramel, lavender and iris the buttery caramel sweetness is balanced by lavender’s aromatic character and iris’s cool powdery texture.
Vanilla and tonka bean form the warm gourmand base, while oud adds resinous depth and a premium character to the drydown. The result is a rich yet balanced fragrance where sweetness feels sophisticated rather than excessive.

Questions about this oil
What is an oriental gourmand?
A gourmand is a fragrance built on edible notes caramel, vanilla, praline. An oriental gourmand adds resins and woods such as oud and amber underneath, which gives the sweetness depth and stops it smelling juvenile. 1015 is that second type.
How is it different from a plain vanilla oil?
The lemon and bergamot opening and the lavender-iris heart give it structure a straight vanilla does not have. It is sweet but not simple, which makes it easier to price at a premium.
Is caramel stable in a finished product?
Yes at normal dosages. As with any gourmand, expect a warm amber tint and test for discolouration in a clear bottle before you commit to packaging.
Can I use it in candles?
Yes, at the IFRA limit for that category, which differs from the fine-fragrance limit. Gourmands perform particularly well in candles.
What concentration should I use?
18–25% in an alcohol-based eau de parfum, 15–20% in an oil-based roll-on, and 0.5–2% in lotions and rinse-off.
What sizes and lead time?
100 g, 250 g, 500 g, 1000 g and 5000 g, shipped in 4–6 working days.
