Description
Oud can be a difficult first purchase for customers unfamiliar with the note because of its depth and intensity. Code 1003 takes a more approachable direction by combining oud with a fruity opening, creating a modern unisex fragrance that introduces the wood in a smoother way.
Passion fruit is the key element in the opening. Its sharp, tropical and slightly green character creates a striking contrast with oud, while bergamot adds a clean citrus brightness. Together they lift the woody character and give the fragrance an energetic introduction.
Oud and jasmine form the heart, with jasmine acting as a bridge between the fruit and the wood, making the transition smoother. Sandalwood and amber create the base, adding a creamy and warm finish that brings back the classic oud character.

Questions about this oil
Which oud should I choose if my customers are new to oud?
This one. The passion fruit and bergamot opening makes it far more approachable than 1154 or 1236. Once customers are comfortable with the note, 1002 is the natural next step, then 1154 or 1233.
Does the fruit fade quickly?
Yes passion fruit and bergamot are top notes and will fade within the first half hour, leaving the oud, jasmine and sandalwood. That progression is the point of the composition.
Is it unisex?
Yes. The fruit reads slightly feminine and the oud masculine, which balances it across both.
Can I use it in body mist?
Yes, at 3–6%. The fruity opening makes it better suited to body mist than the heavier ouds in the range.
What concentration should I use?
18–25% in an alcohol-based eau de parfum, 15–20% in an oil-based roll-on, and 1–3% in rinse-off.
