Description
Pineapple over birch is one of the most commercially proven structures in modern masculine perfumery, and it works because the two materials are opposites: bright tropical fruit against dry, smoky bark. Code 1200 is our version, and at twelve materials it is among the most developed oils in the catalogue.
Pineapple, blackcurrant, apple and bergamot form the top notes, creating a juicy, layered fruit accord rather than a flat sweetness. Birch acts as the pivot, bringing a dry, smoky and slightly leathery character, while jasmine and rose soften the transition into the middle notes. The overall profile has some of the richness associated with modern gourmand fragrances, without becoming overly sweet.
Musk, oakwood, patchouli and vanilla form the base notes, giving the fragrance warmth and strong longevity. The result is a crowd-pleasing pineapple musk profile with enough structure and depth to feel polished rather than simple.
