Description
Peppermint is normally a top note because it is volatile and fades quickly. In this composition, it sits in the heart with jasmine, allowing the fresh mint note to remain noticeable for longer a practical advantage in grooming and body products.
Bergamot and mandarin form the top notes, opening soft and bright rather than sharp. Peppermint and jasmine then form the heart, with jasmine rounding the mint’s sharper edge and keeping the composition from feeling too much like a toiletry.
Musk and white woods create the clean, soft base notes. Light and deliberately unassertive, this fragrance is especially well suited to hand wash, body wash, deodorant and cooling gel products.

Questions about this oil
Why is peppermint in the heart rather than the top?
Peppermint is volatile and fades fast from a top note. Placed in the heart with jasmine supporting it, the cooling effect lasts considerably longer.
How does it differ from 1173 Aquatic Mint?
1173 uses a spearmint-type mint with lavender and geranium for a barbershop profile. 1210 uses peppermint with jasmine sweeter, cleaner and better suited to wash products.
Does it smell like toothpaste?
The jasmine rounds the mint's edge and keeps it from reading as oral care. It is cleaner than 1173 but still clearly a fragrance.
What is it best used in?
Hand and body wash, shower gel, deodorant and cooling gels. It is a functional fragrance rather than a projecting one.
Is it unisex?
Yes, entirely. Nothing in it leans either way.
