Every finished perfume sold in the UK or EU needs a safety report, a product file and a notification. Our assessors already know this oil.
Description
Fig is a Mediterranean summer in a single note: green leaves, warm wood and sweet, milky fruit. Code 1261 pairs it with citrus for the brightest of the fig compositions in this range, supplied ready-mixed for bottling.
Mandarin and lemon open it zesty and sunny. Fig forms the heart, both leafy-green and creamy, which gives it more body than a straight citrus.
Cedarwood finishes it dry and clean. Light, fresh and unisex, it suits a summer launch, a Mediterranean-themed range or an everyday daytime scent.

Questions about this oil
What does fig smell like in perfume?
Two things at once: the green, slightly bitter leaf and the soft, milky sweetness of the fruit.
How does it differ from 1253 and 1266?
All three use fig. 1261 is the brightest, with citrus; 1253 adds oolong tea for calm; 1266 adds black tea and iris for depth.
Is lemon a concern for phototoxicity?
Cold-pressed lemon oil is restricted by IFRA because it can cause phototoxic reactions. The IFRA certificate supplied confirms the finished perfume is within the limits for its intended use.
Is it a summer fragrance?
It is strongest in spring and summer and suits holiday and travel ranges.
Does a ready-mixed perfume need a CPSR?
Yes, once it is sold under your name. The Cosmetic Product Safety Report is required by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and its retained GB version, whoever mixed the perfume. We can prepare it from the IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and SDS supplied with 1261.
What sizes and lead time?
A 5 ml sample, 500 ml and 1000 ml, shipped in 4–6 working days with IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and Safety Data Sheet.
