Description
Lavender almost never appears in a feminine floral opening it belongs to grooming and barbershop by convention. Code 1037 uses it anyway, and the clean aromatic edge it gives the composition is what makes this different from every other floral in the catalogue.
Mandarin and lavender open it. The mandarin is soft and sweet, the lavender clean and herbal, and the combination reads as fresh laundry as much as fragrance an association that sells well and that no citrus alone would produce.
Orange blossom and jasmine form the heart. Both are honeyed white florals and both share a faint bitterness with the lavender above, so the transition is smooth rather than a change of register.
Cedar, amber and musk close it dry and warm. Cedar rather than sandalwood keeps the base clean, which suits the aromatic opening. The whole fragrance is fresher and less sweet than a conventional feminine floral.
