Description
Every other oud in this catalogue opens on saffron, rose or citrus. Code 1033 opens on incense and oud themselves, with nothing to ease the entry the most immediate and uncompromising oud in the range.
Incense and oud together in the top is an unusual and confident construction. There is no citrus, no spice, nothing to soften the first impression: the fragrance is what it is from the first second, dry and smoky and resinous.
Amber and leather form the heart. Amber adds glow, leather a warm animalic weight, and together they deepen rather than lighten the composition.
Rosewood and sandalwood close it, and here the fragrance finally softens rosewood is warm and faintly rosy, sandalwood creamy. The drydown is considerably gentler than the opening, which gives the whole thing an arc rather than a single mood.

Why no citrus opening?
It is deliberate. Incense and oud in the top mean the fragrance states what it is from the first second, with no easing in. That directness is its character.
Is it wearable?
The rosewood and sandalwood drydown is much gentler than the opening, so it softens considerably after the first hour. It is still a substantial fragrance.
Is it good for bakhoor and home fragrance?
Yes, and it is one of the best in the range for it incense and oud are the expected profile. Use the IFRA level for that category.
Will it discolour?
Yes oud, incense and leather are all dark. Expect a deep colour and use opaque packaging.
