About this oil

Description

Crisp Sea Salt Fragrance Oil is a minimalist sea salt fragrance oil built around sea salt, sage and ambrette. The opening feels mineral, airy and herbal, creating a cool windswept shores character rather than a tropical marine scent.

Ambrette forms the heart, bringing a soft, skin-like musk with slightly nutty and floral nuances. Cedar and musk finish the fragrance with a dry, quiet base that keeps the composition clean and restrained.

For brands focused on conscious positioning, this profile can be presented as vegan friendly and cruelty free where supported by supplier documentation. Safety Data Sheets and an IFRA certificate should also be retained as part of the fragrance compliance documentation.

Compliance documents supplied with this oil

Every bulk order from Phoenix Cosmetic Safety ships with the paperwork you need to put the finished product on the UK or EU market not just the oil.

  • IFRA Conformity Certificate the maximum safe dosage for your product category, issued for the batch you buy.

  • Allergen declaration every declarable allergen with its percentage, so your label meets Annex III as amended by Regulation (EU) 2023/1545.

  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) 16-section GHS document for your carrier, warehouse and Amazon hazmat review.

  • Technical data sheet flashpoint, density, solubility, appearance and recommended dosage.

Need the finished-product documents too? We are a cosmetic regulatory consultancy as well as a supplier: we prepare the Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR), Product Information File and SCPN/CPNP notification for the perfume you make with this oil. No other bulk oil supplier does both.

FAQ

Questions about this oil

What is ambrette?

A botanical musk from hibiscus seed musky, slightly nutty and faintly floral, very close to the smell of clean skin. It is one of the few natural materials that can stand in for animal musk, and it is expensive.

Why so few materials?

The minimalism is the product. A four-material ingredient list is short enough to print in full on packaging, which suits a brand whose identity is restraint.

Is the sea salt tropical or cold?

Cold. It is mineral and airy a northern coastline rather than a beach which is why it pairs with sage and cedar rather than coconut.

How does it differ from 1070 and 1213, your sport oils?

Those are energetic sport fragrances with citrus and vetiver. 1229 has no citrus at all and almost no projection. It is a skin scent, not an active one.

Is it strong?

No deliberately close to the skin. For more presence, add 1237 Iso E Super at 5–10%.
