Description
Clean fragrances usually have nothing in the middle. Code 1216 is the exception: blackcurrant and iris give it a tart, slightly green heart that keeps it interesting long after the citrus has gone, which makes it far more useful as a perfume than a standard fresh musk.
Bergamot, mandarin and green tea open it. The tea is the differentiator dry and slightly bitter, it stops the citrus reading as simply sweet and sets a more considered tone from the first seconds.
Blackcurrant and iris form the heart. Blackcurrant is tart, green and faintly sulphurous in a good way; iris cool and powdery. The pairing is sharp and elegant and gives the composition real structure where most clean fragrances have none.
Musk and sandalwood finish it soft. Clean throughout, but with enough character to be worn as a signature rather than as a background scent.

How does it differ from 1162 Citrus Musk?
1162 is deliberately neutral, designed for toiletries and hospitality. 1216 has a distinct heart green tea, blackcurrant and iris which makes it wearable as a signature fragrance rather than a background one.
What does blackcurrant add?
Tartness and a green, faintly sulphurous edge that sharpens the composition. It is what stops this being another soft clean musk.
Is it unisex?
Yes, genuinely so. Nothing in it leans either way.
Does it work in hand wash and toiletries?
Yes, and it is a good step up from a purely neutral profile if you want your toiletry range to have character.
Is it long-lasting?
Moderate, with the iris and musk carrying it beyond the citrus. Good for everyday rather than evening wear.
