Description
Ambroxan is one of the few aroma materials that customers recognise and search for by name. Code 1117 is built around it and represents a highly contemporary masculine style, especially suited to a modern bergamot eau de parfum profile.
Bergamot, black pepper and lavender open the fragrance, creating a fresh and spicy introduction. Sichuan pepper, elemi and geranium form the heart, adding bright peppery, resinous and aromatic facets that give the composition more depth.
Ambroxan forms the base, supported by cedar and labdanum. The result is a clean, dry and modern fragrance with strong diffusion, making it a strong choice for a contemporary masculine range. The bergamot fragrance opening keeps the profile fresh while the woody base gives it lasting character.

What is ambroxan?
A warm, dry, mineral aroma material with a faintly salty, skin-like character and very high diffusion. It makes a fragrance seem to radiate from the wearer rather than sit on top, and it is one of the few materials customers know by name.
How does it compare with 1237 Iso E Super?
Both are diffusive amber-woody molecules used to create radiance. Iso E Super is softer and more velvety; ambroxan is drier, saltier and more mineral. 1237 is a single-material product; 1117 is a full composition built around ambroxan.
Why two different peppers?
Black pepper is dry and biting; Sichuan pepper is brighter and almost citrusy with a tingling quality. Together they give the composition heat at two different points in the development.
