Description
Aromatic Sage Amber Men 1221 is a refined masculine aromatic that replaces the usual lavender-led opening with a more distinctive sage and iris structure. Bergamot and neroli create a fresh, slightly bitter introduction that works well in both eau de parfum and eau de toilette formats.
Sage and iris form the heart, combining dry herbal character with cool powderiness. The result is restrained and sophisticated, with no heavy spice or sweetness.
Sandalwood, amber and cedar create a warm, dry base that keeps the fragrance comfortable and understated. In eau de parfum, the woody depth feels fuller, while an eau de toilette concentration would give the composition a lighter, fresher expression.

Questions about this oil
Why sage rather than lavender?
Sage is drier and more herbal, with a slight camphorous edge. It is less familiar than lavender in a masculine opening, which makes the composition more distinctive.
Is neroli unusual in a men's fragrance?
In a cologne it is standard; in a masculine aromatic it is rare. It gives the opening a floral complexity most men's fragrances avoid.
How does it compare with 1180 and 1017?
All three are quiet masculines with iris. 1180 is coldest through juniper, 1017 softest through pear and lavender, 1221 the most herbal through sage and neroli.
Is it strong?
