Why does it open fresh if it is a leather fragrance?
The grapefruit and mint opening is deliberate. It gives the fragrance an unexpected development bright for the first twenty minutes, then warm and leathery for hours. No other leather in the range does this.
What is cashmeran?
A soft, musky, woody-spicy material with a velvety texture that clings to skin. It is the reason this fragrance lasts as long as it does and why the drydown feels plush rather than harsh.
How does it compare with 1218 Warm Leather Amber?
1218 is soft and wearable throughout, opening on lavender and violet. 1059 is a bigger contrast fresh opening, much stronger leather drydown. 1218 for daytime, 1059 when you want presence.
