What does osmanthus smell like?
Apricot, suede and tea leaves at once. The fruit is unmistakable but there is a dry, leathery quality underneath that keeps it from reading as a simple fruit note.
Why is osmanthus considered a prestige material?
It is expensive, no synthetic reproduces it convincingly, and it appears almost nowhere in mass-market fragrance. Its presence on an ingredient list signals a serious composition.
Is it feminine or unisex?
Unisex. The leathery, tea-like facets keep it from being a sweet floral, and it sells comfortably to both.
